Introduction

    • The center was established on June 1, 1951.
    • After Renwu became a separate township from Dashe in September 1951, it was relocated to the two stores next to the former Renwu retail market co-rented by the Township Office and private firms as a temporary office building.
    • In January 1951, the center was opened until the tenancy expired; it was then moved into the malaria prevention station which was created during the Japanese occupation period (next to the former Renwu Police Station).
    • On January 9, 1951, it was officially relocated to the right hand side of the Renwu Township Office on No. 80, Jhongjheng Rd. The resident doctor was the former Township Chief Lin Zan-shou, who constructed not only the Township Office but also the office building.
    • On October 17, 1988, due to neglect, old age and general dilapidation, the building collapsed; after gaining approval from the higher authorities, a civilian building was rented and used as an office. On February 19, 1986, when County Magistrate Tu Chen Yue-ying had visited the township to convene a local construction forum and listen to a citizenry report, the supervisor of the center Jhu Yu-fong had presented a proposal to the County Magistrate, who immediately offered her support and promised to allocate the 127 Ping (420m2) of County-owned land opposite the Renwu Land Office. The insufficient 23 Ping (76m2) of land was purchased by the Township Chief Wu Jin-cun from the adjacent private land owner Jheng Jin-biao to make up a total of 150 Ping (496m2) of space. The construction budget was comprised of NT$2 million from the Provincial Government and NT$2.745 million from the County Government, as well as NT$597,000 from the Renwu Township Office. The center construction was outsourced and gradually completed.
    • The construction was finished on May 11, 1990 and the center was relocated to the current address (No.23, Dijheng St., Renwu Li, Renwu Dist., Kaohsiung City).
    • The center was officially inaugurated on June 14, 1990, where County Magistrate Tu Chen Yue-ying personally arrived at the center to cut the ribbon.
